With Guest Speakers:

Ray Scanlan - Director of Prison Ministries for Alpha Canada

Jim Dods – New Connections Ministries

Dave Stewart – Ottawa Police Services
Reverend Carl Wake - Co-ordinating Chaplain Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre

Who is it for?

This training day is for anyone who would like to be involved in supporting ex-offenders upon their release from prison, including church leaders, pastoral staff and those involved in social action. The number of ex-offenders who would like to be linked with churches is growing daily.

We hope, through this training day, to provide church leaders and church members with an awareness of the need for development of ministry with ex-offenders, and to provide tools and training so that effective and appropriate care can be provided. We also hope to ultimately develop a resource base of local churches interested and trained in providing a nurturing fellowship for Christian ex-offenders desiring the same.
