ALPHA CANADA MILLENNIUM DAY OF PRAYER - APRIL 29 2000
Ottawa and Ottawa Valley Areas

by Tony Copple, sec, KAIPC.
Below is the call for this event from Alpha Canada.

-----------------------

The main Ottawa area location for the Alpha Millennium Day of Prayer was Glen Cairn United Church, Kanata. Minister: Revd. David Sherwin.
The service was introduced by Rev. Archie Hunter, Alpha Regional Advisor for eastern Ontario.
The actual time we sang and prayed was from 6:45 - 9:30 pm.

This was a prayer and praise service for all Alpha people. Also, we particularly welcomed "friends of Alpha" (pre-Alphas?) who joined us in prayer for continued accelerating growth of Alpha in Canada. We have seen the way God is using Alpha to reach people in every corner of the globe and we want those blessings for all our friends and loved ones. This evening was spiritually rewarding both for Alpha and for all those who came and pray with us.

Below are some photos of our service, which was attended by about 50 from all over the Ottawa region, including as far as Russell. Prayer leaders were Rev. Archie Hunter, Doreen Slingerland, Rev. Brian Wilkie, Alice Keiwan, Ray Brule, Bob & Pat Horsey. Our musicians were led by Jennifer Bulman, who selected the praise songs.
