Dear Tony & Laurie-Ann,

RE: MSOMI RESOURCE CENTER PROJECT

I wish to request for your support towards the above mentioned project.

Msomi Complex including (Msomi Teachers College, Msomi Academy, Bible College, Msomi community School of Health and Development, and PEFA Churches, Southern Nyanza Region), are in official relation /partnership with Osogo Community- Family Health Initiatives OCfHI-NGO in the Msomi Resource Center Project aimed at improving Knowledge, providing education and training for the youths in and out of school as well as the general public through making reading materials available and accessible to the target population.

The Msomi resource center project will benefit the Msomi institutions including Msomi Academy, Msomi Teachers College, Bishop Okinda High School, as well as neighboring primary and secondary schools, middle level colleges, scholars and researchers in Migori, The project will cater for over 500,000 people.

I believe the project will touch lives more than any other project initiated in this region. To all that we have shared with including the Migori District Commissioner, Mr. Mutula, Scholars, Church and community based organizations, school leavers and the general public, all agree that this is a project worth investing.

In regard to this, we are pleased to inform you that our partners, OCfHI-NGO have been able to secure an approved sponsorship of a 40 foot container of books and six Pentium computers from Books for Africa USA, towards the support of the Msomi Resource Center project. However, the sponsors do not offer shipment hence we are required to incur the shipment costs which amounts to USD 10,050 (which is currently beyond our affordable means). The value of the 40foot container of books by conservative IRS estimate exceeds $165,000.

We therefore seek the support of individuals and /or organizations to help us raise the amount required for the shipment. Your contribution in part of in whole towards the attainment of our goal is highly welcomed and will be highly appreciated. (Please find attached herein a copy of the invoice sent to OCfHI from Books for Africa). Should you need any further details in regard to the same, please do not hesitate to contact us

We look forward to your favorable response.

Thank you,

Yours Faithfully,

Bishop John Okinda

Director, Msomi Resource Center
