Have you watched the popular video Transformations II? The film on community transformations and revival had its Canadian release last June here in Ottawa, and a third of it features the exciting things that God is doing in the Canadian Arctic. Pond Inlet is mentioned again and again, in its history of conversion to Christianity of their tribal chief Angwateesowok, and of the later influence of John Turner, a beloved English missionary who founded a mission in this tiny settlement. In recent years, when we heard of much cultural loss, despair, drugs, glue sniffing and suicide in the Arctic, Pond Inlet was also struggling. However, God had the last word. In 1996, after much intercessory prayer, the people turned back to the Lord, and there was a mighty visitation from the Holy Spirit in 1999. Revival and community transformation was the result that still affects the community. Many came to hear Rev. Joshua Arreak and the team from St. Timothy’s Anglican church in Pond Inlet, Nunavut tell their story and more. You can review their experience on the Transformations II video (available at your local Christian bookstore or through The Sentinal Group) |

The Pond Inlet team schedule included:
Rhoda has a message for English Canada - she has been struck by all the
barriers between classes, races, language groups, etc. God wants these
barriers to come down!!! He wants us to: - Love our neighbours as God loves us.
On Tuesday, Rhoda and Brenda prayed in the Peace Tower for all of the people
in the area (Pembroke to Morrisburg, Russell to Kanata) to be come to know
Jesus as their Lord and Saviour and for the government leaders and employees
to recognize Jesus as Lord and to be directed by Him.
After the team returned to Pond Inlet, Brenda wrote us. Her gentle and sure guidance can be
easily sensed from her letter
