Kanata Community Alpha
In January 2002, following the September 2001 "Let's Go to Church" month and the Ottawa Alpha Conference, three church Kanata Alpha courses
(Anglican, United & Presbyterian) joined forces to run Alpha and Beta courses for the community.
Our next course began with an introductory night Monday 30 March 2009 at the Cheshire Cat Pub. The course then continued in a private home in Kanata.
A recent course was at the Royal Oak pub, Kanata starting April 2008. A photo below was taken on the weekend away at Bethesda Renewal Centre.

In the third century Cyprian, the Bishop of Carthage, wrote to his friend Donatus, "It is a bad world, Donatus, an incredibly bad world.
But I have discovered in the midst of it a quiet and holy people, who have learned a great secret. They have found a joy which is a thousand times better than any of the pleasures of our sinful life.
They are despised and persecuted, but they care not. They are masters of their souls. They have overcome the world.
These people, Donatus, are Christians...and I am one of them."
If you have repented of your sins and have received Christ as Saviour, then you, too, are one of them.
Today, Lord God, I remember all those Christians who have gone before me and thank you for the inspiration of their memory. May I never take for granted the heritage I have in Jesus Christ.
